It's hot out there y'all, and I'm 34+ weeks pregnant. Even sitting at my air conditioned desk, I am overwhelmed by heat.
Other than that, things are going pretty smoothly. Well as smooth as things can be with a two-year-old who always needs us to do something. All day long it's "MAMAAAAA!" And I answer, "Bryson." Then "DADEEEE!" And Scott answers, "Bryson, We're right here buddy." It's sounds like a game of Marco Polo. It's endearing most of the time.
He also likes to say, "Mama pomin'," (Mama coming) or "Daddy pomin'," when he wants us to go somewhere with him.
Bryson says pretty much everything now. This morning I went in to get him out of his crib. When I retrieved his pacifier that had fallen on the floor overnight, he said, "Fank you so much!" (Thank you). I had never heard him say that. It was so cute, and he was so sincere.
His favorite things right now include: trucks, bike rides with daddy, swimming and pancakes.
On Saturday he got his second haircut and did great. He started saying "train," as soon as we pulled up. We couldn't believe he remembered that they had a train set there for the kids to play with. Of course, he went straight to it and started playing. And he wanted to sit in the fire truck chair again....
He is still so angelic when he naps......
And he is good at making friends........Here he is with Finley, who is just about a month younger than him. She's the daughter of one of Scott's friends who is also a teacher.
They all had dinner together last night while I was at a workshop making freezer meals. (Yay for stocked freezers!)
Bryson and Finley had tons of fun pushing trucks back and forth on the table at the restaurant. I told Scott we should meet them every time we go out to eat, since he typically freaks out at restaurants if the food doesn't come immediately.
I've been trying to get a decent recording of him counting, but he always pretends to be shy or something when I get my phone out to document something. We didn't even know he knew all the numbers until a few weeks ago. He was eating blueberries at breakfast and just started counting them! Kids are so funny like that. One day they just amaze you. I love living with Bryson because I'm surprised, humbled and challenged every day. Luckily I also have an amazing husband who is there to help in the challenging times.
